Kartikeya joined Altico Capital in June 2016.
Kartikeya is responsible for analysing and structuring Altico Capital’s investments, and executing deals, including negotiation and documentation.
Kartikeya was previously with Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) where he worked as Assistant General Counsel. At BAML Kartikeya covered the Equities, Fixed Income and Structured Lending business. Before BAML, he was a Partner with Phoenix Legal, Mumbai. As a senior member of the firm's Banking and Finance team he had the opportunity to develop a structured finance (SF) and debt capital market (DCM) practice ground up.
Through the years, he has played a pivotal role in some pioneering transactions, such as, India's first collateralized bond obligation issuance, India's first listed securitization transaction (both awarded IBLJ’s India Structured Finance Deal of the Year in 2013 and 2014) and India's first multi-originator securitization transaction. In addition to SF and DCM matters, he regularly handled matters pertaining to FPI advisory, ECB, syndicated financing, foreign investments, and other general corporate advisory matters. He has published several articles in well regarded journals.
Kartikeya is a 2004 law graduate from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
