Founded in 2001, Clearwater Capital Partners provides investors with access to a full spectrum of Asian credit investment opportunities including direct lending, secondary credit and special situations. Since inception, the Firm has made more than 350 investments totaling over $6.5 billion, across sectors and geographies, both onshore and offshore, and built some of the largest dedicated lending platforms throughout the region.*

Clearwater has built an on-the-ground presence in Asia through locally staffed offices and companies in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, Seoul and Chongqing. The breadth of the targeted investment market and Clearwater's established and experienced presence make it possible for the firm to source, develop and capture value in diverse opportunities, particularly targeting to the senior part of the capital structure.

The Clearwater team, including direct lending platforms consists of over 100 individuals who are passionate about credit investing and have a complementary set of diverse backgrounds and skill-sets.

On August 9th, 2018, the Firm joined Fiera Capital, a leading Canadian asset management firm with C$131 billion in assets under management * and listed on the Toronto exchange (FSZ.TO). From an investment perspective, Clearwater will retain its investment independence and control over existing and future funds. Clearwater believes that its ownership by Fiera Capital, going forward, affords all investors and employees a unique vantage point and home from which to continue to focus on its investment activities in a large-scale, listed and multi-boutique platform.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Council is an investment arm of the Government of Abu Dhabi. The Council started its operations in April 2007 and is responsible for investing part of the government’s surplus financial resources through a globally diversified investment strategy, targeting positive capital returns through an expansive portfolio of highly diversified asset classes and active investment management strategies.

In the short time since its inception, the Council has established a reputation for its entrepreneurial spirit, open culture and quick decision making process.
